Care and Repair Guide
We don't keep what we've learned over thirty-five years to ourselves. You can do most of the work that extends your court's life yourself, and here we also say plainly which jobs you should not do.

Don't do these yourself
Half of our guides say "do this", while the other half say "don't do this". For the jobs below, the wrong intervention triples the repair bill — because most of the time the surface has to be stripped off entirely.

High-pressure washing
It opens up the acrylic texture and strips off the sand layer. The surface becomes slippery within a season.
-
Sealing cracks with a household filler
Silicone and filler don't bond to the surface; at the first hot-cold cycle they separate and widen the crack.
-
Applying colour coats in the wrong season
A coat applied when the surface temperature is below 10°C or humidity is high will not cure properly.
-
Patching from the surface a crack that runs down to the base
If the problem is in the concrete underneath, surface repair only hides the symptom; the crack comes back in the same place.
